Exhibit Proposals and General Exhibit Information

The Canyon Gallery
The library takes pride in the varied and excellent works that are displayed in this busy and highly visible facility, and invites artists to share their work with the Boulder community. Free display space is available in the main gallery which includes the corridors and entrances surrounding the Canyon Theater.
If you would like to submit a proposal to exhibit in the gallery, please review and submit the following:
- proposal guidelines & application form
- map of the Canyon Gallery with notation of its amenities
The gallery is generally scheduled 12 to 18 months in advance. The deadline for submitting proposals is 5 p.m. on the first business day of June of each year. Proposals received by that deadline will be considered for the gallery schedule of the subsequent year. A seven-member exhibit selection committee (five library staff, two community members) meets in June to review submissions. Results are announced by mail in July.
Extensive FREE parking is located at the 11th & Arapahoe library entrance and, on evenings and weekends, in the Canyon Blvd parking lot. Please comply with all posted parking instructions.
Exhibits are promoted throughout the metro-Denver area by press releases to local media sites, the library’s monthly newsletter and on this web site. Work displayed in the gallery can be for sale, although it does not have to be. All sales are contracted directly between the artist and patron; work is not released until the end of the exhibition’s scheduled run. The library does not take any proceeds from sales.
