The following is a list of ongoing programs:

Club de Literatura Moderna en Español

Boulder Public Library y Boulder Valley School District ofrecen un club de lecutra en español. Incluye lecturas premeadas de literatura moderna de Esapaña y Latino América y discusiones cada mes sobre la lectura, también en español. Las juntas son el primer viernes del mes y toman lugar en Boulder Public Library en el Boulder Creek Meeting Room de 16:00 - 18:00.

Arabic Literature Discussion Group (In English)

This discussion group was started in October 1996, following two Arabic language classes that were offered in the Library in 1995. The group reads and discusses works of Arabic Literature representative of most of the Arab countries.

Citizenship Classes | Clases de Ciudadanía

Mondays, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Boulder Creek Meeting Room at the Main Branch

These classes provide help with citizenship questions and practicing the citizenship interview, and offer information about the citizenship process.

Conversations in English

These small groups have received national recognition for efforts to help people new to the U.S. learn English. These informal, friendly groups are led by volunteer native speakers of American English. Each group meets once a week.

Club de conversación in español | Conversations in Spanish (Intermediate)

Los participantes de esta clase deberían tener un nivel intermedio o avanzado de español. Cada Viernes a 4-5:30 p.m. en la sala de conferencias Arapahoe. (Meets Fridays from 4-5:30 p.m. in the Arapahoe Conference Room. Classes are open to all, but some knowledge of spoken Spanish is necessary in order to participate.)

Reading to End Racism

1999 Winner, American Library Association Diversity Fair

A joint project re-introduced to Boulder Valley Middle schools during 97-98 school year. A joint project with Women's International League for Peace & Freedom and BVSD Multi Ethnic Action Committee. The goal of this project is to talk to students about racism through readings and personal experiences and to explore various ways to deal with it.
