Bilingual Tours
Pre-scheduled tours of the Library (all branches included) for people who want to have an overview of the library. These tours are offered in English, Spanish, Russian, and Arabic, The tours are done for groups (preferably no more than 10) and individuals.
Bilingual Training
Pre-scheduled training on the computer system used in the library. Explanations and some of the handouts are translated to Spanish and will be available in other languages if needed. Groups for training should not exceed 8 people. Individual training is available also. Drop-ins are also welcome, but pre-arranged training works better especially for people who have limited means of transportation.
Bilingual Presentations
If needed, we can also offer presentations at your site. However, we found that these presentations are not as effective as visiting the Library. If you have access to the Internet at your site, training on the library computer system can be provided.
Bilingual handouts and guides
These materials are available upon request for better understanding of the Library's functions, programs, and events.

Citizenship and Immigration Issues
The Outreach Librarian is a member of "Boulder County Immigration Advocacy Coalition." The Library's role is to make current resources (print and non-print) available for people who are in the process of applying for U.S. Citizenship, and for teachers and organizations who are involved in teaching and helping the immigrants in this process. Library meeting and conference rooms are also made available for their use. Classes are conducted on a regular basis by two Immigration Lawyers recruited by the Outreach.
Looking at the needs of the Immigrant Community the Coalition is offering two classes to meet these needs. The first one is ESL and the second one is U.S. History and Civics. Volunteers are being trained in the library by ESL teachers and by the two immigration lawyers.
The Outreach Program is offering one-on-one help with studying U.S. History and Civics course work that is for the naturalization test. The Outreach Program matches immigrants who are at the last stage of the process with volunteers who will help them study and take practice tests. No legal help is offered through the Outreach Program.
The Outreach Librarian is an active member of REFORMA (National Association to Promote Library Services to the Spanish Speaking).
